AIF so far...

Alhamdulillah, we've had several sessions of AIF (Alhamdullilah It's Friday) with Ustaz Kamal and the response have been growing steadily, so much so that we're now conducting it EVERY WEEK!!

Although we can't really describe everything in this spot, but here are some salient points of discussion we've had so far:

Why are there different Madzabs?

Why do some people pray and practice Islam differently?

What is the significance of Hadiths in our everyday lives?

'Science' of Hadiths? Huh...?

In our multi-religious society, what are the rules of our interactions? Can we attend religious functions of other beliefs?

Marriages and other 'business contracts/partnerships'...

Its been an interesting few months and we've held robust discussions, touching on many topics and issues. We have decided though, to give the sessions a form of scholarly grounding and direction. So at the start of each AIF, we'll go through some Hadiths compiled by Ibn Hajar Al-Asqalani in his book "Bulugh Al-Maram". If you don't have the book, not to worry because we'll provide you with the necessary notes, Insyallah. And the exciting bit will be our Q&A, where participants often ask (sometimes, brutally) honest questions, queries and confusions on Islamic principles, practices and belief. Its been enlightening and we welcome more curious hearts and minds to AIF.
